| Club Profile |
Saltley Bengals FC was formed in the summer of 2006 by a group of friends to play competitive football in the Shapla Football League. The original management consisted of Chunu Miah, Sohel Ahmed and Rumen Islam. The team is now managed solely by Rumen Islam but Chunu and Sohel do assist on a consultancy basis. Although the first season proved to be quite demanding and more difficult than first imagined, Saltley Bengals managed to ultimately finish in 3rd position and gain promotion to the Premiership.
